At the Stirchley Art Club

I had such a nice experience sharing childhood memories and making playdough art at the Stirchley Art Club.

As one fellow “clubber” put it: “We exist because of the memories we’ve created.”

Here are a few such memories:

• Being picked up by my mom from my foster family and the happy times spent with her.

• Climbing fir trees with my brother … I climbed up one tree and my brother climbed up another next to mine, all the way to the top, feeling the tree sway from side to side! Concealed inside the trees high above the ground where no one could see us. Peeking through the fir branches and needles, we could see the bright blue sky above. Such a thrilling and wonderful experience.

• Happy memories of spending hours at the beach.

• Happy memories of fishing (and falling into the water!)

• The memory of the first flower name (or first word??) I could pronounce when I was little!

• Happy memories of spending time at summer camps where Mom and Dad helped out.

• Memories of watching the deep red sunset, the waves washing over the sand of the beach, soothing an aching soul.
